Session 1 -  How to Effectively Communicate Without Uniforms in the Workplace?

Any active duty military member & military spouse who is going through a career transition within the next 12 months needs to attend this class.  How long have you or your spouse worn the military "uniform of the day", mess dress, or BDUs?  Have you seriously considered how different it will be when you or your spouse is unable to quickly identify someone's position, status, or rank by their attire?  It's not just the salute or the boots that will be missed, it's also the fraternal familiarity that one comes to appreciate when you are a unit, a battalion, a squadron, a military installation, a convoy, an air station, a team, a family.   This class will help you learn the successful communication tools and business languages you can use to enjoy a smoother transition from military to civilian life.

Session 2 - How to Evaluate & Negotiate Your Salary & Benefits Like a Pro

Negotiations can be scary when you haven't had a lot of experience with them.  However, the key to salary and benefits negotiation actually begin before the interview process starts. It initially begins with your ability to know your own value before someone else is able to see it.  It begins with knowing the company, the job description, and how you can best add value or contribute to the organization, in a way that is essential to its growth and stability.

Building value is a continuous process throughout the entire interview stage.  Come learn how to establish and build your value, properly analyze and review employment offers, and master the art and science of negotiation like a pro.
We invite you to attend and bring a friend. Each of our VCAP classes are filled with powerful information to help you better understand the competitive job search environment and unfamiliar civilian hiring processes and practices.
